Rob’s team-building exercise will set the tone for the day’s learning and activities. Rob’s interactive presentation reinforces collaboration, and shows us that it is okay seek help when in personal and professional settings.
Spend the morning with Abraham Lincoln’s best friend and law partner, who wrote one of the first biographies of Lincoln and without a doubt knew him better than anyone else except maybe Lincoln himself.
William Herndon will share an insider’s view on our favorite president with real insight into what made Lincoln tick and why he became such a universally beloved leader. Lincoln’s leadership skills were built on a foundation of deep listening and humorous storytelling. As was often said about him, he seemed to have the perfect story for every occasion and as Lincoln said, he loved stories that had 'a little stinger on the end,' a clear and well-articulated point.
With excerpts from Doris Kerns Goodwin's “Team of Rivals” and the best seller “Lincoln on Leadership” we will be immersed in the stories and ideas that not only inspired Lincoln’s colleagues, but can can help us within our various teams of caregivers.
